Devil May Cry Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Devil May Cry Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

This page will be used as a way to answer certain questions regarding either the site or Devil May Cry in general that I receive more then others. I find printing the most frequent questions here will help provide users with the answers they are looking for more quickly than waiting for me to reply to their emails. More questions will be added as I receive them.

The questions are arranged in no specific order.

  1. “Where did you download/buy your site skin? It rules!”
  2. “What was your inspiration when designing the site?”
  3. “How often do you work on the site?”
  4. “How did you first become interested in the Devil May Cry games series?”
  5. “What are the XHTML 1.0 / CSS buttons at the bottom of the page for?”
  6. “What’s in store for the future of Devil May Cry.org?”

“Where did you download/buy your site skin? It rules!”

Gee whiz, thanks! I actually designed it myself, and is entirely exclusive to this site. Perhaps in the future - when I decide to create a new skin for the site - I may slap a price tag on it and put it up for sale, although more than likely I will simply give it away. Til then, I’m afraid this will be the only site where you are able to view this style.

“What was your inspiration when designing the site?”

Well, my enjoyment of Devil May Cry games helped somewhat (the colour scheme actually comes from staring at the original Devil May Cry case for several hours on end!). I also find browsing the web for specific game related fansites to be the best source of inspiration. I try and implement features that not only interest me, but people who view the site too, while still remaining unique.

“How often do you work on the site?”

That depends on what you mean; I visit the site several times a day and post news whenever I feel there’s some worth posting; the same goes for when features are suggested. But if you’re referring to work behind the scenes, such as skinning and site maintenance, then not so often. Fortunately I’m pretty satisfied with the look and feel of the site and very rarely change how something works. It’s like the old saying; “If it ain’t broke don’t fix it”.

“How did you first become interested in the Devil May Cry games series?”

Ah, great question! You’re probably going to regret asking that though, my favourite subject is me and once I get started… (haha, just kidding!)

The first time I heard about Devil May Cry was when I purchased an issue of PSWorld (Playstation World Magazine) which contained a free DVD featuring a few upcoming games trailers as well as some “hot” footage of an upcoming game that was in the works, which happened to be Devil May Cry. I forget the issue of the magazine but the DVD was PSWorld DVD Vol. 7, June edition (I still have it in my archives by the way). After viewing the footage for the first time I knew this title had a lot of potential and instantly fell in love with it and couldn’t wait for the UK release so I could sink my claws into it.

“What are the XHTML 1.0 / CSS buttons at the bottom of the page for?”

The little XHTML / CSS graphics located at the bottom of each page are used to show that this site complies with the traditional web browser coding syntax, and ensures that vistors using virtually any up to date browser (Microsoft Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Opera, etc) should have no trouble rendering the page in the way we intended our pages to be displayed.

“What’s in store for the future of Devil May Cry.org?”

Hmmm, wish I knew. I’m not going anywhere and neither is this site, so I imagine we’ll continue to cover all aspects of your favourite Devil May Cry games and produce content that you will find entertaining. Other then that you can check out the future plans page and have a quick glimpse at some of the more interesting features that I hope to add soon.
