Devil May Cry 4 Demo Available on Xbox Live Marketplace!

The long-awaited Devil May Cry 4 demo has finally been made available on the Xbox Live marketplace! And it couldn’t have come at a better time. Eager Devil May Cry 4 fans have been busily speculating on what they hope to see in the demo of Devil May Cry in our Devil May Cry 4 Forum. I haven’t tried it myself just yet but I’m very excited about checking out the first Devil May Cry game to be featured in glorious high definition on the next generation consoles.

Personally, I was adamant that I would hold off from downloading the demo and waiting for the full version of my Devil May Cry 4 Limited Edition to arrive… but with the official release date still being over two weeks away, I can’t help but want to check out the demo and get a taste of what Devil May Cry 4 has to offer.

If you manage to get your hands on the Devil May Cry 4 demo before me, be sure to post your opinion in the Devil May Cry 4 Forum and let everyone know what you think.

Played the demo and in summation: This game will rock your socks off! Nero is just basically a revamped Dante, his movesets are somewhat the same but the devil-bringer gameplay adds more to the sweet badass combos you pull off! Plus you rev up Nero’s sword to add devastating moves, this is also an addition to the gameplay wherein Nero’s main weapon sword, the Red Queen, has a throttle handle-like bar wherein you rev up while standing still or pulling off combos and can maximize it (there is an HUD for this) to finish off enemies! The demo is short but pack full of punch!

Ever since the release of DMC 3 Capcom has been heading back to the original roots of what has made Devil May Cry so great. My first playthrough of this demo felt like I was playing DMC 1. The music and atmosphere were similar as I was playing. That’s just what I think. Although I do miss the old fight themes like in DMC 1 that doesn’t stop me from playing through this demo. The music is great btw. Playing as Nero isn’t that bad at all. He actually kicks ass but takes a little to get use to considering it’s just a demo and you’re very limited to the moves you use, but hey isn’t the game like that when you start out haha. The Devil Bringer is what makes Nero really awesome when playing him. As you play through you’ll upgrade, for example, in the middle of the demo you come across this orb that upgrades it and gives you new abilities. You’re able to grab enemies from a distance and combo the crap out of them as much as you want. Not only is it just for grabbing enemies but it’s also for maneuvering around the environment as long as you find a spot to use it indicated by a blue seal on the ground. I really can’t wait to get the full version and unveil the demon within Nero. Make sure you check out the demo and get a taste of this new installment to the great DMC series. It’s short but it’s full of demon slashing fun. 2/5/08!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
