Devil May Cry 3: SE Release Date Confirmed

Devil May Cry 3: Dante’s Awakening was a phenomenal hit worldwide, and the revamped version which is entitled: Special Edition (not very original but we can’t be too picky!) is looking very promising so far. DMC3: SE will be hitting our stores towards the end of January 06′ / early Febuary 06′ and will be joining the Sony Playstation’s catalogue of Greatest Hits titles, priced at a very wallet-friendly $19.95. A Eurpean release date has yet to be confirmed but we expect it won’t be a long wait now.

For those of you who haven’t heard of the upcoming Devil May Cry 3: Dante’s Awakening - Special Edition’s (mouthful huh?) rather lengthy feature list then I’m going to give you an early Christmas present and list them for you:

1. A fully playable Vergil scenario with his own unique fighting style.
2. An extra boss character (details are still a little sketchy).
3. An additional gameplay option to increase the in-game fighting speed up to as much as 25% faster.
4. A refurbished continue system.
5. An additional difficulty setting: Very Hard (presumably due to the particuarly large skill gap between Hard and Dante Must Die mode.)
6. A survival mode.
7. And a movie theater mode.

Not too shabby huh? I’ll be pre-ordering my copy when it reaches my side of the pond.
