GameSpot Sample Devil May Cry 4 Demo @ TGS 2006
Today the lucky crew at GameSpot reported news that they were able to get a first hand glimpse of an early build of the upcoming Capcom title, Devil May Cry 4, as well as enjoy a fair amount of time playing the demo themselves.
GameSpot has also wrote a very interesting article which details the way Devil May Cry 4's main protagonist - Nero - looks and feels with the power of the Sony Playstation 3 behind him.

i was wondering that too, i dont like the idea of not playing as dante, and from the gamespot hands on, it didnt sound like Nero handeled any differently from dante anyway, so why scrub dante out? im hoping he is a playable character and that this Nero guy actually levels with or even surpasses dante as a character, but at the moment im not too pleased about it...theres time to persuade me otherwise however!....
Nero is the main character in DMC4, he is a high ranking member of the Order of the Sword, an order devoted to the work of Sparda.
I say we should give this new guy a chance. He looks refreshing to me.
Dante was replaced because he "peaked" (way too good) in DMC3, he was just too powerful to continue working with. Also, the capcom team felt that Dante was becoming old news. The fact that there is a new character, makes the DMC universe much larger IMO ^^

they had said that nelo angelo(aka vergil) will make an appearence in the dmc series and how could u think that dante is now old news i still like him i want him to be the main charcter did the say that nero is is actually vergil??
yah i really want to play as him too i wonder if they have a character selection on it or a story mode that u get to play dante for half and nero as the other half and i also think taht he does make the devilmaycry series lARGER.

I like the way Capcom is going with the series! And I certainly hope 4 isent going to be the last we see from this series! That would suck!
My only complaint so far is that I wish they did not try to make Nero look so much like Dante..ex sliver hair and long sword and gun..I know what they were trying to do get new players and all, but at least make him a little diffrent. No biggie tho.
Last hope is Vergil! I wanna se more of Vergil! Awesome character! Cant wait!
Thats a bunch of crap Dante should still be the main dude fuck Nero he sounds like and looks like a pussy Date started the series and he should finish it and Capcom is nothin but a bunch of fags if they cant handle Dante's Prowless they can make him better I am the biggest DMC fan onthe planet and Dante is the god of all games superman aint got shit on him and Nero is Dates 3 brother he has 9 of them

Nero is the main Character, Dante is the antagonist, While Vergil will make an apperence. Trish or lady may to make one as well. I just want to know who is behind it all. In GameInformer, Dante slaughtered Nero's Order of the Sword group and which started the rivaly. But why? Is it Mundus, Vergil, or a new Enemy?
I agree with Masuki-kun. Dante still should be the main character in DMC4. What's all that stuff that Dante reached his peak? How is a game going to replace their main character and just make a new one that almost looks exactly like him? They might as well just have left Dante in there. This is a real dissappointment to me as a huge fan of this game. I just hope you can pick Dante instead of this new guy "Nero" (who has never been heard in any of the DMC games) in DMC4.
