Devil May Cry is rumoured to be the next instalment in the DMC series (no official word on development of Devil May Cry for PSP as yet) and is also said to feature the return of Nero, Dante, Trish, Lady and, perhaps Vergil in some form or other.

U are right but PLEASE agree with me that kyrie should speak more in DMC4. I mean, before I even knew that nero and kyriw were like childhood friends, I thought nero just met kyrie. And when she gets kidnapped hes all desperate to save her right? Sooo, I thought WTF?! The guy just met her and now hes all obsessed over her? BUT then I figured out they knew each other since they were kids and I was like Ohhhhhh I get it now! :) Anyways that song shall never surrender does rock.

Dante better be the main character, cause Nero sucks. And, if Nero is the main character again, then it's definitely not worth the money, or time. Because it's not the original story line, either Dante is the main character. If he isn't the main character, don't waste your money, 'cause it'll suck, because DMC4 sucked, and in my opinion. DMC4 is the worst DMC to have ever been made.
No, DMC2 was the worst. DMC4 was good, but not as good as DMC3.
DMC4 is the best besides 3 ok and the story line of DMC ended when u kill mundas and it starts a new story that i think will be the best 1 i personally i like using nero more than dante.his controls are easier than dantes in sorry but they are dante and nero are gunna team up in the DMC5 and kick some major demon ass! so dante and nero are beast and they will probbably do what they did with DMC 2 and make them on 2 discs 1 for dante and 1 for nero so u can hate on it all u want but u no ur wrong iv been playing the dmc series since befor i turned 11 so yea im a beast devil hunter in the game so

Okay ! I want to see Virgil VS Nero, i want to see Dante VS Virgil again, i i want 3 of them to appear, and i want Sparda appear too, no more any new character.
Yeah Vergil vs nero would be very intresting. But IF that every does happen, Capcom will probably make nero the winner and Vergil would end up like dante in DMC4. Because nero DOES have the yamato, AND vergil probably would underestimate him like dante did. But the only thing is that if vergil comes back on DMC5 then it'll be most likely that he'll try to take the sword away from nero. I dunno, it'll be pretty confusing if vergil came back now, I mean, its sooo out of his character to say: "Oh, you have my sword? Well, you can keep it. I mean, i know its important and my father, who I greatly admired, gave that sword to me but whatever, u can keep it." :0 That would have been weird right? So, If vergil would make a comeback then he'll either try to take the sword or he'll just be the enemy again.

Seriously Since I made my last comment i've been studying the whole series so well my opinion is the storyline is 3124 Cuz 3 he opens his shop 1 well he meets trish 2 he goes hell and in devil may cry 4 you see when u finish mission 1 watch the cutscene when he gets his new sword and nero says to Credo He just came back from hell. So... like in devil may cry 5 I think vergil MIGHT come back. It depends if he did kill mundus after devil may cry 3. IT DEPENDS! But seriously guys his arm Vergil omg hes got himself and beowulf... I know he's quick but nero in dmc 5 might become more powerfuller and gain agility and well I thihnk there will be a special edition which you can play as vergil but not in the normal one :(

i agree with you but the only reason i think it's the best cus it got vergil n dantes abilitys in that one are off the chain, bcus in dmc4 dante's abilitys were more experinced and powerful but in number three he was younger n he could ride on enimes n the wild stomp n differnt things cus of his age, but as he got older in number 4, sure his moves got stronger but since he was older he lost moves cus of his age. Vergil got incredible speed that Nerp will never posess, and if Vergil get Yamato back, then i say Nero is defeated, nero only got a short-range devil arm, and his gun won´t help, cus Vergil can parry bullets, he parried when Dante shot at him after battle 1 in dmc3

That's why I'm kinda scared for the movie thats rumored to come out this year or so. I mean, all the video games that turn into movies stink they stink big time. But it really all depends who the director is and the producer, AND if the writer for the script is talented. You cant use this director who barely got out of school or this cheap producer otherwise the movie itself will be cheesy and sucky.

Okay I'm kinda sad to say this but: What if Vergil DOESN'T come out in DMC5!?! I mean, the very sad and serious thought came into my head when he didn't come out in DMC4. Okay, maybe he'll have a very good possibility that he'll come out again, but if he did, then wouldn't he be the bad guy? He'll probably be after Dante, like Damien once said, but he'll also be after Nero. Unless, of course hes his son, but thats a crazy thought and story. Anyways what would YOU guys do if he didn't come out in DMC5? Would u quickly accept it or...u know, rebel against it. I would rebel! We NEED more vergil just like me needed some more Dante in DMC4. Okay I have a theory about Nero! I dont think he's Vergil's son. Just that he's Vergil, reincarnated. I mean, it makes more sense. In the beginning, Nero was SO agressive when he began beating up Dante. What if that was Vergil's soul? And when Nero first held he yamato, it like, flew to him right? Aren't dante and Vergil the only ones to be able to do that? Also, his love for kyrie is similar to Vergil and his mother's. They have a lot of things in common.It's a good point huh?

I'm hoping that Dante is once again the main character. With a hint of feminism from Lady. Trish is too much like Dante's mother to really catch my interest as the apple of his eye.
I played little trickles of 4, but since I do not have an XBOX, or any video game system of the sort, I never got to dive deep into it like I did with the previous three. Regardless, Nero wasn't all that fun, personally. Virgil was interesting. Jester was fun. C: But, please, if you read these silly grammatically challenged posts, and spot mine, please please please... Don't let anyone steal the spotlight from Dante again.

I agree with Sol Rebel. Nero was cool, don't get me wrong here, he's a very exciting and fun person to play, but i thought Dante was better. In the beginning, I really didn't enjoy that Dante was being replaced by a brand new character. But once you see all the cutscenes and play Nero, you change all your negative thoughts about him. And start thinking positive. But Sol Rebel DOES have a good point. Nero should be in the next one, hell, he could even be a playable character, but he can't be the main character again. It belongs to Dante. It won't be DMC without him. And I don't mean to offend anyone (especially NEROMAN 517, who I don't want to be enemies with) but that's what I think.

Whoa, NEROMAN517, calm down. We really didn't have a game that JUST focused on Vergil! DMC3 focused on THREE characters. Lady, Dante, and Vergil. Not on just Vergil. So, Come on, Vergil really deserves the spotlight.

That thought crossed my mind; Vergil was like living with Alice, but the thing is, that she's a little girl who can transform into an older woman. And she is demon too. Anyways maybe nero could stand up to Dante because he has more human in him. I always thought that the reason Dante was always superior to the other FULL demons was because he has a human part, and he has a soul, or something like that. But I dunno if Vergil...uh...mated with Alice. It could be a strong possibility though.

oh wow i beat all dmcs but 2 cus i thought it was to but i only played first level and broke it! Vergil n alice might already had a thing going cus rember what she said to him??? Maybe vergil and alice already had there thing going in the manga but vergil maybe didn't treat her like she wanted to be treated, like one of those bad relationships!
They did tease Nero about his mom that she was a prositute. Well, Alice really looks like one to me. But, I'm not excatly positive if he had it with her or not, I always thought that he would have had it with a human. Since, his father did, and Vergil really did admire his father.
Oh, Vergil also said to Alice: "I tire of you girl," So, maybe they did have something going on. Or maybe he just said that to insult her,I'm not sure! :)
Wait, Alice turned into a grown woman for a short period right? But when she was living with Vergil, wasn't she just a little girl with demon powers? And when she got Dante's amulet then I dunno, I guess she sold her soul or something to be a grown woman again. So, I dont think Vergil had it with Alice when she was a little girl. i didnt think vergil did either but they didnt explain things in the manga they dont explain things in any of things excapt for the anime like dmc 1, they never explained if vergil died or telaported to a different place, dmc 2 they didnt explain if that was dante on the motorcycle at the end, or lady or trish, dmc 3 they did explain alot in that one i geuss in numba for who the helll is nero!Q!!!!!!!! u no what im saying!
It couldn't be Lady's motorcylce at the end of DMC2! XD DMC2 takes place WAY off into the future, she'd be dead already. Not unless she gained immortality or something.
Lady first appears in Devil May Cry 3: Dante's Awakening so Capcom didn't intend it to be Lady's motorcycle in the first place. It could be perhaps his to begin with. And besides, just like Nebula said, 'DMC2 takes place WAY off into the future' so there's no way Dante can't buy one from all those years passed as him being a Demon Hunter. He could be probably be rich prior to the DMC 2 time line as what he had said in the manga. XD

I agree with the thought of having Vergil back if ever there will be DMC 5. Considering how great as a character he was is such too good to be just exterminated. Thought I must say I'm a madcap fan of him, I still want Dante as the main character since DMC itself is for Dante in the first place. However, regarding to Nero, I must admit that I'm not that fond of him and I don't see him as a 'not-so-good' character as well. I even want him to be part of the story by any chances and have the game explained much about him so that we won't be speculating false judgments and theories among the characters. Well anyway, DMC series will always be my favorite. DMC FTW! XD

Dante is Nero's dad? Well, good theory but the order for DMC is 3,1,4,2 so lucia couldn't be nero's mommy. DMC2 takes off WAY in the future. That day will come when Nero, (all by himself) can defeat Mundas, The Prince of Darkness. But I don't think nero OR dante can become a full demon, if thats what u mean. They both have human blood.
It's true that in the DMC 4 novel, Nero in his dream is talking to a man he had never met, who is obviously Vergil. Seem to be reasonable for me to have 'father-son' relationship between them. Still, we shouldn't base our theories to that since DMC 4 novel isn't officially cannon in the first place. What is more convincing is what the game itself would tell. So we don't have any choice but just to wait for the next DMC game.

Yes, you're right. I could also care less if Nero is Vergil's son or not. It's up to Capcom how they would able to explain it as long as it's reasonable, or else, DMC plot will be doomed for sure.
Well for those of you that hasnt played Bayoneta , its from the same creaters of devil may cry and the pace of the game is out of the work she almost in a way makes dante and Nero powers seem week but in away tahts a good as they can combine the ideas of both bayoneta and devil may cry 4 to make a awesome devil may cry 5!!

Bayoneta makes Dante and Nero's powers seem weak? But, Capcom like, already makes Dante seem he's like invincible or something! Trust me, I've seen the anime, played ALL the games, and read the books. I even think Nero could beat Bayoneta easily. But, if DMC5 comes out, then it'll be more likely that it will be better. I don't know, I've never really played the Bayoneta games...So I probably shouldn't be talking...
P.S: I'll probably rent Bayoneta to see how good it is.
