Devil May Cry: The Animated Series is the official anime series based on the hit action-adventure/survival horror game by Capcom.

The show was produced by anime studio Madhouse, and was directed by Shin Itagaki. Bingo Morihashi, one of the writers for Devil May Cry 2, DMC3 and DMC4, was also on-board the writing staff.

Synopsis

In Devil May Cry: The Animated Series, series hero, Dante, continues to run and operate his devil-hunting business, Devil May Cry, while struggling under constant financial difficulties. There are also two new regular characters that were introduced to the anime series: Dante's agent Morrison who visits frequently, and Patty Lowell, a young orphan girl who he saves in the first episode of the show, who also visits frequently and shares a close relationship with him.

While the show's stories were mostly self-contained, a season-long plot was introduced in the first episode and came to the forefront in episodes 10, 11, and 12.
